Peter Lodge : “My images generally focus on the broad subject of nature, often using wide landscapes to bring a sense of depth to the shots. I also use the term nature for when my subject is urban areas, as peoples daily lives are also natural in this context. I have a minimal outlook on photography, both in the shots I take and in my own process of taking them. From the moment I click the shutter that is it. That is how my picture looks when I display it, exactly like it was at the moment of shooting.

My photos often come across as sombre and have a surreal quality about them. Part of this quality came from the unique way my 35mm slr has aged over the last 30 yrs. Although this camera is now broken beyond repair.

I used a Ricoh XR-7 35mm slr and still use a Lomo Diana F+”.
